Find Out If You Have Mold:
In order for mold to develop and spread, it needs moisture and a source or food (such as wood, drywall, fabric, and many other porous surfaces). If an area is dark and wet, there is a high likelihood for mold to develop. Some of the most common places we see mold start to develop, include:
Eventually all mold will be visible. However, if it is caught early, some spots or darkening may not be visible yet. Here are a few precursors to the visual stage of mold:
- Mildew or sour smell that comes back even after deep cleaning
- Bubbling paint
- Unexplained illness, especially associated with the lungs or blood
When mold has developed to the point that it can be seen, it can appear in various colors and textures. Note any of the following visual features:
- Pink, green, black, or white fuzzy material
- Flat, dark, circular spots
- Discoloration or darkening of porous material, such as wood or sheetrock.
Our Process
Unfortunately, many mold removal services simply clean up or remove mold from a location without using proper protocol and verifying that it is in fact gone. But, our rigorous remediation and testing process ensures that when we are done, your remediated environment will be at or below normal dwelling place air quality levels.
Here’s how it works:
1. Free Virtual assessment
We will ask questions to help determine the likelihood of you having mold, and whether an in-person inspection is required.
2. Pre-Remediation Testing & Estimate
At our preliminary in-person visit, one of our inspectors will perform an air quality test and/or surface samples which, upon receiving results from the lab, will identify the presence, type, and severity of the mold. Then, we can accurately provide a detailed estimate for the cost to perform remediation.
3. Mold Remediation
Our expert technicians will remediate the presence of visible mold and make every effort to determine the location of responsible source moisture to be corrected.
4. Post-Remediation Testing
After the mold has been identified and removed, we will perform a post visual inspection and air quality test to confirm whether the mold has been adequately removed or if further remediation is required. Our job is not complete until the air quality test indicates that the levels are safe and returned to normal.
5. Enjoy Your New, Mold-Free Environment
Once our technicians verify the mold is gone and the final air quality test has been completed, we will provide you with a confirming report, and some additional tips and advice to help prevent further future growth
